What methods of customer support does Parastar provide?  
Parastar provides a full service customer service department to all of its clients. Customers are able to access customer service representatives through Parastar’s toll-free number, email, or by live chat. Parastar also offers the customer the ability to pay on-line 24 hours a day.

 

When is the customer service department open and available to take patient calls and emails?
Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. E.S.T., Parastar provides dedicated, toll-free telephone lines to support client accounts, which eliminate the need for utilization of a local number, although such could be routed at the request of the City. Parastar has provided below an overview of the customer service training and procedures received and applied by our account representatives. However, these descriptions represent general matters of policy and can be amended to accommodate to the specific needs and requests of Parastar clients.

 

Describe Parastar’s Compliance Program.

Parastar partners with ACS Healthcare Solutions. ACS HCS Processing Center is currently BS15000 certified. In conjunction with ACS network control and help desk centers located in Cheshire, CT, which currently processes 15,000 desktops and 25,000 users, the Michigan processing center provides development, maintenance, and support of business-critical application across platforms ranging from large-scale enterprise systems to internet servers.

Does Parastar utilize a NEMSIS Gold ePCR?
Parastar uses Zoll’s Sanitas Billing software, which is a powerful solution for EMS billing and collections. In the field we Deploy Zoll’s Tablet PCR Product which is NEMSIS Gold Certified.

NEMSIS (National Emergency Medical Service Information System) has 3 goals:

Do we have to use the Zoll Tablet ePCR?
No. Parastar is capable of receiving data files from most other PCR products.

 

How does Parastar charge for billing services?
Parastar fee is based a percentage of what is collected. The rate is dependent upon volume and payer mix. Due to Parastar’s efficient and very electronically driven infrastructure, Parastar offers a pricing structure that is very competitive.
